Welcome to Tarot Tuesday!
Each Tuesday I will be pulling a card from my grandmother’s tarot deck and writing about what the card could mean for the signs, broken up by element. This card can help you set your intention for the rest of the week or it can provide a visualization of your current situation. Don’t forget to check your moon and rising signs as well as your sun sign.
Two of Wands
This week I pulled the Two of Wands card. In tarot, the number two symbolizes the harmony that is brought about by combining two seemingly different aspects of our lives. This card represents the need to manage our priorities. It also represents personal and professional relationships.
The Two of Wands card indicates a difficult choice between our responsibilities and our desires. When this card pops up, it usually means that there is no middle ground between our choices. This card can also represent a romantic relationship or business partnership that has become tedious or repressive. But this card encourages recommitment rather than the dissolution of these relationships if they are stable.
What This Card Means for Fire Signs (Aries, Leo, Sagittarius)
Fire signs are ruled by their passion and drive. This card may hold more significance for you because the Wands are the suit of fire. This card speaks to your need for adventure and encourages you to prioritize your creative projects over your practical ones. You have worked hard and done what you are supposed to do. Now is the time to pursue what you truly want.
What This Card Means for Earth Signs (Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn)
Earth signs are ruled by their dedication and desire. This card speaks to your sense of duty. You have been finding it hard to balance all of your priorities and you do not want to let anyone down. This card wants you to follow through on these commitments if, and only if, they do not cause you emotional, mental, and physical turmoil. Don’t forget, you also have a duty to yourself.
What This Card Means for Air Signs (Aquarius, Gemini, Libra)
Air signs are ruled by their compassion and independence. This card speaks to your interpersonal struggles and need for emotional balance. It represents your need to make your loved ones or coworkers happy. But the Two of Wands wants to remind you that not all relationships are salvageable. It is time to evaluate which relationships are worth saving.
What This Card Means for Water Signs (Pisces, Cancer, Scorpio)
Water signs are ruled by their empathy and imagination. This card speaks to your sympathetic and nostalgic sensibilities. You may have been staying in a situation too long due to sentimentality. You may also have felt like you had no other options. The time has come to assess your current circumstances and ask yourself what you need out of life.
Tune in next week for another Tuesday Tarot Pull!
