Every year, Forbes publishes a list of the top 250 billionaires in the world. A list that now includes Kylie Jenner, a Leo. But we’re not here to talk about the Kardashian-Jenners today. Instead, we’re looking at a surprising study that discovered some Zodiac signs are much more likely to be a billionaire.
Winner: Libra
Libra is unquestionably the winner when it comes to billionaires. The Zodiac sign boasts an incredible 27 out of 250 wealthy names. You’d expect a roughly even distribution of birthdays across all 12 signs or about 20 apiece. Instead, Libra takes a much bigger share of the pie.
Billionaire Libras include fashion designer Ralph Lauren, Wal-Mart heiress Alice Walton, and Aldi heiress Beate Heister.
Why is that the case? Well, Libras have a balanced set of skills. They can be utterly charming, but they’re also perfectionists. Libras also enjoy the finer things in life, so they need all that dough to support their fabulous, jet-setting lifestyle.
Runner Up: Pisces
If Pisces has a super-power, it’s their ability to understand the emotions of others. That’s really useful when you’re building a billion-dollar business like Michael Dell (who founded Dell computers) or Nike founder Phil Knight. Intelligence is great, but emotional intelligence might be even more useful.
Pisces are often dreamers who tap into their boundless imaginations to envision the goals they want to achieve.
Honorable Mention: Cancer, Taurus, and Leo
Rounding out the Zodiac signs most likely to be billionaires are Cancer, Taurus, and Leo. These signs tied for 3rd place with 20 each.
Cancer includes visionary (and potential super-villain) Elon Musk, who founded SpaceX, Tesla, and PayPal, among other ventures. He’s joined by L’Oreal heiress Francoise Bettencourt Meyers, the richest woman in France.
Taurus also boasts Mark Zuckerburg among their ranks. He’s the 8th richest person on the planet, thanks to Facebook. Wealthy Leos include software CEO Larry Ellison and Google’s Sergey Brin.

What’s interesting is that the world’s richest man — Amazon founder Jeff Bezos — is in the last place on this list. He’s a Capricorn, but then again, his rise to fame and fortune is quite different than most billionaires. Bezos started a small company and steadily grew it over time, diligently pursuing his goals. Now that sounds like a Capricorn!
